Hi i'm emma, the bunnygirl of the hour! Though you may know me as EmmaIsEpic, H0ppin_H00ligan, EmmaSwagginz or other such names depending on where you know me from.
I kinda have a hard time describing what my personality is like, but i've been told i'm smart, shy, sensitive, caring, have a good head on my shoulders, tomboyish, quiet, look younger than i actually am and am a "girl next door" type among other things. Though personally i'd say i'm a nerdy, reclusive girl who seems nice enough until you find out how much of a fucking weirdo i am (....at least by chronically online standards...)
Ever since i was a kid i had a strong connection with both rabbits and the internet; with rabbits, i watched a lot of cartoons with rabbit characters growing up (looney tunes, max and ruby, bunny maloney, etc), my family kept rabbits as pets a few times, most of the comics i would make as a kid had rabbits as main characters and at around 13 i realized just how much i actually had in common with the animal: being that we're both very timid, sensitive and LOVE lettuce!! As for the internet: i had a weird fascination with websites because of all the commercials i would see on TV for sites like club penguin and moviestar planet to the point that just the ".com" suffix made everything automatically WAY cooler to me. Admittedly, i was a bit of an ipad baby growing up as my grandpa would often let me play on his computer and once i got my first tablet i became glued to that....for better or for worse.
As a little girl growing up in the late 2000's-early 2010's, the internet felt like a magical place where you could do anything you wanted and you were ALWAYS the coolest kid in the room!! So my aim with this website is to recreate that feeling!!
If you've looked at my blog for more than 2 seconds, you would know i'm quite a bit of a yapper. I tend to talk about things that bug me such as social issues and internet discourse, especially feminism (though unfortunately i NEED TO clarify that i'm no terf); that said though, i also discuss media analysis, theories and personal stories from my own life. I may get pretty negative on my blog sometimes, but i try my best to be lighthearted.
As of recently i've been deconstructing a lot of my own personal and political beliefs due to the fact that a lot of the people i surrounded myself with online as a teenager were kinda...misguided, with their beliefs. A few of my essays reflect this and some may be a little messy or have some serious blindspots, which i'd like to apologize for in advance. I'm not perfect in the slightest and i don't want to act like i am.

As was mentioned previously, this site is an homage to my childhood nostalgia surrounding the internet and is generally a loveletter to when websites had so much more personality. Inspirations for the site's design include icarly (as well as the social media seen in many dan schnieder shows, "the slap" and just generally how the internet was portrayed in early 2000's kids media), GirlsGoGames, the burn book from mean girls and old websites for children's media. When i first created the site, i didn't really have any strong idea or intention behind why i did so; i just kinda saw that lots of people have been making their own websites and thought "hm maybe i should do that too." Though as time went on i decided that this site's purpose is to express myself and discuss things in-depth without the toxicity, censoring and worries of post engagement social media has; i still use social media, don't get me wrong, though i try to keep the amount of accounts i have low and not join any new social media if it isn't necessary. This is both because i'm happy only having like, one or two places to doomscroll through and also to try and reduce how much time i spend on the internet.
